Visit to Nevill Holt Festival URGENT
FRIDAY 12TH JUNE 2026 (afternoon – times tba)
We are delighted to have been offered an opportunity during this year’s Festival to have a private
guided tour of David Ross’ art collection in Nevill Holt Hall together with a talk by this year’s
Festival featured artist, Harland Miller all for £25/head.
David Ross has built a unique collection of artwork by 20th Century artists, which isn’t often
available for public view. The Hall itself dates back to the 13th Century, with many famous owners
from the Kirby and Nevill families to the Cunards, all championing the arts.
Harland Miller is a leading international artist and an exhibition of his work, including The Great
Elephant Migration will be displayed in the grounds this year. He is also a writer, whose work is
infused with irreverent northern English humour and his lifelong love of language. His work
synthesises references from both high and low culture, spanning literature, music, self-help
manuals and medieval iconography.
After the tour and talk, you will have an opportunity to explore the spectacular grounds and
beautiful gardens designed by Chelsea award winner Rupert Golby together with sculptures by
Antony Gormley, Rachel Whiteread and Eduardo Paolozzi and fantastic views over three counties!
You may also wish to extend your visit by booking some of the other events that are on that day
separately!
Many of you will know that the Nevill Holt Festival embraces arts and culture and includes a lineup
of opera, concerts, conversations, performances, film screenings, art exhibitions and more. This
year the festival runs from the 29 May - 21 June and you can find what’s on by following the link
below. https://nevillholtfestival.com/whats-on/
We understand that time is short, but Nevill Holt have only just been able to confirm their
arrangements with us. Timings will be confirmed, once we know numbers.
